How it was built

The complete first pass was built through a documented, AI-assisted curriculum process. The process is public so anyone can inspect both the work and how it was made.

AI-assisted drafting and review

AI agents drafted, checked, and revised material in sequence across defined curriculum, developmental, factual, cultural, accessibility, and alignment roles.

Automated validation

Every lesson is checked against the curriculum schema, its learning objectives, required teaching structure, source registry, and linked assets before publication.

Human review is the next layer

Agent review and automated checks are not presented as independent human review. WEC is now recruiting educators, subject experts, translators, and pilot partners to test and strengthen the first pass.

Who is responsible

Whole Earth Curriculum is currently stewarded by its repository maintainer and developed in public. The maintainer is accountable for what is published, for applying the project’s stated standards consistently, and for recording material changes in the open repository. Human reviewers and advisory participants will be named here with their permission as the circle grows.

How decisions are made

The vision is the test

Changes must serve the four dimensions of a whole learner and preserve the curriculum’s traceable learning goals.

Evidence and values stay distinct

Factual claims require sources. Values are stated openly rather than disguised as neutral facts.

The work stays inspectable

Curriculum changes, review discussion, validation rules, and funding assumptions are kept in public whenever privacy and safety allow.

Support does not buy doctrine

Partners may fund outcomes and contribute expertise; they do not receive a private right to override the vision or close the curriculum.
