Assessment plan
A year-end portfolio and celebration of each learner's own work as a co-author of their education; a "who I am becoming" considered-position reflection, a self-directed learning plan for Grade 11, a local-to-global community reflection, and a cooperative-economies and mutual-aid reflection as closing artifacts.
Unit 12 — All of Me, All of Us
Overview
This unit gathers the year together, building on Grade 9’s closing celebration. Learners return to the considered position on what defines them, independent of external labels and expectations, and reflect on how they direct their own learning — choosing goals, resources, and ways to check their progress. They reflect on how their local community connects to regional, national, and global ones, and examine examples of cooperative economies and mutual-aid networks across the world as the shape of care in action. They celebrate each whole person, the caring community they have built, and the living Earth — and look ahead to Grade 11, where the considered position becomes an articulated purpose and a meaningful life, empathy extends to distant and future others, and the ethics of technology and the environment mature into governance, solidarity, and stewardship across generations.
