Assessment plan
A year-end portfolio and celebration of each learner's own work as a co-author of their education; a "who I am becoming" values-and-purpose reflection; a self-directed personal project handoff into Grade 12; a contribution-to-belonging plan; and a mutual-aid or cooperative effort with an accountability plan, as closing artifacts.
Unit 12 — All of Me, All of Us
Overview
This unit gathers the year together, building on Grade 10’s closing celebration. Learners return to their developing values, purpose, and sense of what a meaningful life looks like, and reflect on how they take authorship of a personal project or commitment, seeing it through with self-direction. They reflect on envisioning and planning a contribution that strengthens belonging in a community they care about, and on planning and beginning a sustained mutual-aid or cooperative effort with accountability. They celebrate each whole person, the solidary community they have built, and the living Earth — and look ahead to Grade 12, the capstone year of integration and life purpose, where the articulated purpose becomes an integrated sense of who they are and how they will act in the world.
