Unit 7 — Making, Music & Movement
Overview
This unit gives the whole body and the imagination to making, song, and movement, building on Grade 1’s lines, colors, beat, and pretend. Learners mix two colors to make a new one, compare two artworks, play or sing a short rhythm or melody pattern and repeat it accurately, identify an instrument by its sound and the mood of the music, create and repeat a short movement sequence, act out a scene with a partner taking turns leading and following, plan a making task by choosing materials and steps before starting, and compare two ways to solve a making problem. Every culture’s arts are treated as a living heritage.
