Unit 8 — Health, Care & Access
Overview
This unit returns to the body at a turning point, now with the agency and systems-awareness high school demands, building on Grade 10’s honest sexuality and health-information evaluation. Learners plan for their own health-care needs, including how to access care, advocate for themselves, and navigate health systems, and explain how chronic conditions and disabilities affect daily life and design respectful support for themselves and others. Every body, every pace, and every family’s way of living is honored; the body is taught with dignity, never shame, and questions are met with accurate information and care, not fear.
